Shand House, Windsor Nova Scotia, built 1890-91 one of the first private residences in the area to have electricity, central heating. Most of the woodwork and furniture was manufactured in Windsor. The home was given to the public when the last surviving member of the family passed away in 1981. Unlike many properties of this type the furnishings, trinkets and other possessions on display are the original items that were used by the family.
